Responsibilities
- Define and manage software requirements for avionics equipment.
- Define software architecture through top-level and detailed design.
- Develop software in Ada or C based on requirements and design.
- Integrate software onto the target platform.
- Define test cases and procedures based on requirements.
- Perform structural coverage analysis.
- Conduct software verification and validation according to DO-178C or other applicable standards.
- Perform hardware/software integration and on-target debugging.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Senior-level professional profile.
- Knowledge of electronics fundamentals and avionics communication buses including ARINC 429, CANaero, and MIL-STD-1553.
- Knowledge of avionics software certification and DO-178C, plus requirements analysis using DOORS.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems including VxWorks653, PikeOS, and Green Hills Integrity.
- Experience developing real-time embedded systems and working with modern single-core and multi-core microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, and UART communication protocols.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, C or Ada, and of object-oriented and procedural programming.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python and with SVN or Git version-control tools.
- Knowledge of UML, XML, and JSON.
- Experience with model-based design and code-generation tools including Simulink and SCADE.
- Knowledge of relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Access, and scripting for database interfacing and automation using JavaScript or VBA.
- Good English proficiency at B2 level.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, flexibility, and proactive working skills.
