Base Salary
$177k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for data platforms.
- Drive end-to-end automation for reliable deployment of data services.
- Ensure high availability and scalability of platform data solutions.
- Define and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and error margins for data platforms.
- Build self-healing systems and automated failover solutions.
- Develop observability solutions for proactive issue detection.
- Partner with engineering teams to provide scalable data services.
- Lead incident response for database and streaming issues.
- Explore AI-driven approaches to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and operational playbooks for knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers in automation and database reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of software development and DBRE experience, with 3+ years in Go and automation.
- Deep proficiency in Go (Golang) for production-scale systems.
- Experience designing modular, domain-driven architectures in Go.
- Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Deep expertise in operating large-scale NoSQL, caching, and streaming platforms.
- Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking, and storage systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes for stateful workloads management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP managed services.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for automation.
- Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring peers.
- Experience building internal developer platforms is a plus.
- Prior use of Go for infrastructure automation is a plus.
- Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies for operational improvements is a plus.
- Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.
