Responsibilities
- Plan and develop complete engineering solutions to meet business goals.
- Build reliability and resiliency into solutions through testing and delivery-lifecycle reviews.
- Design maintainable, reusable, well-architected solutions that integrate with end-to-end business processes.
- Take end-to-end responsibility from design through deployment and production.
- Review engineering plans and quality to improve reuse and engineering capability.
- Drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools, and solutions through industry forums.
- Collaborate across global geographies, communicate with stakeholders, and promote healthy team communication.
- Apply code quality, security, testing, observability, and modern cloud engineering practices.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible judgment to data and AI outputs.
Requirements
- 15+ years of IT industry experience with hands-on Java and SQL development.
- Proficiency in full-stack development using Java, React, Angular 8+, and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based full-stack applications and a public cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud, or AWS or Azure.
- Deep experience with Google Cloud, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Python, messaging and integration patterns, JMS, PubSub, REST, SOA, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Helm, Anthos, and service meshes such as Anthos Service Mesh or Consul Service Mesh.
- Knowledge of dependency management, CVE mitigation, observability, certificates, keys, secrets management, and security fundamentals.
- Experience with Google Cloud Operations or New Relic, Git, Jira, Artifactory, Bitbucket, VeraCode, SonarQube, KtLint, and ESLint.
- Understanding of end-to-end solution design and delivery, test-driven development, Agile development, and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across geographies, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide technical oversight.
- Ability to use AI tools productively and responsibly.
