Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagements as Red Hat’s technical lead for trusted software supply chain adoption.
- Deliver technical conversations, architecture walkthroughs, business-value sessions, workshops, proofs of concept, bake-offs, sprints, and hackathons.
- Configure, execute, and troubleshoot customer builds using Red Hat Lightwell repositories alongside customer engineers.
- Advise on artifact management, mirroring, pipelines, disconnected environments, and air-gapped environments.
- Position hardened container images, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline policy enforcement, and runtime security within the Red Hat portfolio.
- Collaborate with Lightwell engineering, sales, Customer Success, Consulting Services, partners, and customers to improve adoption and product-market feedback.
- Provide technical enablement and mentoring to the Red Hat Technical Sales community.
- Participate in conference speaking, blog writing, customer advocacy, and community outreach.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of combined experience in software engineering, build or release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales.
- Hands-on experience working in customer or production build environments with real dependency and upgrade obligations.
- Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependencies, lockfiles, and version constraints.
- Experience configuring, executing, and troubleshooting enterprise builds, artifact repositories, and internal mirrors.
- Understanding of build reproducibility, disconnected and air-gapped delivery, and multi-language codebases.
- Knowledge of SLSA Level 3 build integrity, SBOM lifecycle and formats including SPDX and CycloneDX, artifact signing, verification, attestation, and enforcement.
- Knowledge of VEX, CSAF, provenance, typosquatting, dependency confusion, and machine-readable exploitability data.
- Experience delivering technical presentations and leading business-value sessions for engineering, leadership, and executive audiences.
- Preferred experience as a sales engineer, technical sales professional, or similar role in an enterprise software, SaaS, or systems integrator environment.
- Preferred professional software development experience in Java or Python ecosystems, including dependency management and release.
- Preferred ownership of enterprise-scale CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or internal developer platforms.
- Preferred DevSecOps, application security, product security, vulnerability management, secure development lifecycle, and upstream open source experience.
- Preferred foundational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business and customer needs.
