Responsibilities
- Design and potentially implement sophisticated cloud-based solutions that meet client technical and business requirements.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and provide pre-sales technical support to clients and sales teams.
- Assess existing systems and develop migration strategies for transitioning on-premises applications to the cloud.
- Design cloud-to-on-premises integration solutions and define security best practices and compliance standards.
- Ensure cloud systems meet high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability objectives.
- Work with development teams to ensure adherence to cloud architecture standards and produce technical design documents.
- Participate in scope-of-work determinations, product pricing, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Lead client proof-of-concept initiatives and support transition of proposed solutions to delivery teams.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure technologies including virtual machines, storage, networking, and load balancing.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager for infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their specific services.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud networking, VPNs, VPC peering, and hybrid connectivity options.
- Proficiency with Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Amazon RDS and DynamoDB.
- Advanced client engagement skills and strong technical consulting abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
