Senior Software Engineer, DevOps

Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage production infrastructure for Rosetta Stone and Wyzant products.
- Own site performance, uptime, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting, and product-specific runbook documentation.
- Identify technical problems and develop solutions.
- Partner with application engineering teams to understand product needs and support test environments.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and develop deployment and release tooling.
- Propose architecture changes to consolidate, simplify, streamline, and modernize technology company-wide.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of professional hands-on software engineering or DevOps experience.
- Experience with a public cloud provider; GCP experience is a plus.
- Experience with web servers, message queues, load balancers, and databases.
- Experience with containerized cloud solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Fluency in source control, builds, deployments, networking, scaling, and monitoring.
- Experience with at least one of Java, C++, C, Go, Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Ability to troubleshoot across the stack and provide immediate and long-term solutions.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Interest in improving education through technology.
