Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain production workflows in n8n or an equivalent orchestration platform with robust error handling.
- Automate engineering alerts, product provisioning, routine operations, and other manual runbook steps using event-driven workflows.
- Build custom nodes, webhooks, and integration logic.
- Design and secure REST, GraphQL, and webhook integrations using OAuth2, mTLS, and API keys.
- Manage high-throughput data flows, including rate limits, retries, backpressure, and payload validation.
- Mock, test, and version APIs so downstream changes are detected in CI.
- Co-own CI/CD pipelines for AI model and infrastructure deployments with Platform Engineering.
- Provision reproducible multi-cloud infrastructure using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.
- Package and scale GPU and CPU workloads on Kubernetes across EKS, GKE, or AKS.
- Instrument workflows and pipelines with observability tooling and build self-healing retry, fallback, and escalation paths.
- Maintain workflow documentation and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building production systems.
- Strong Python plus JavaScript or TypeScript experience, including clean, modular, asynchronous code.
- Hands-on expertise with n8n, Temporal, Make, or a comparable workflow orchestration platform, including custom nodes and error-handling design.
- Strong understanding of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, gateways, proxying, and API authentication mechanisms.
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins through scale and incidents.
- Production Kubernetes experience on AWS or GCP, with Terraform as the default infrastructure-management tool.
- Experience exercising technical ownership across team boundaries.
- Ability to evaluate changing tools and technologies in a fast-moving generative AI environment.
