Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Develop Java Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend and third-party systems.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, including automated build, testing, deployment, and release workflows.
- Containerize, deploy, scale, and monitor microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS.
- Develop frontend applications using Angular or React.
- Write unit and integration tests, debug issues across the frontend, backend, and database, and maintain software quality.
- Apply secure coding practices, participate in code reviews, collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders, and contribute to technical communities.
- Manage risks and controls, support policy and procedure changes, and advise decision-making within the area of expertise.
Requirements
- Proficiency developing RESTful APIs and microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Batch.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services through REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Angular or React.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, including YAML configuration, branching strategies, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment, scaling, and monitoring of microservices-based applications.
- Practical experience with OpenShift for container deployment, cluster management, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience deploying applications and provisioning infrastructure on AWS and integrating AWS services with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, automated deployments, environment provisioning, image building, registry management, and multi-environment rollouts.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger and Postman.
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito is valued.
- Experience with Kafka or other message brokers for event-driven communication is valued.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate complex information, exercise technical judgment, and take ownership of results, risk, and controls.
