Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and engineering standards that multiply team impact.
- Design and build architectures balancing simplicity, quality, scale, and security.
- Simplify systems and workflows by removing friction, toil, and unnecessary handoffs.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, guardrails, and tooling to accelerate delivery.
- Apply software design, data, testing, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Use AI-enabled tools across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation with human accountability for high-risk decisions and final quality.
- Build reliable software with secure coding, observability, testing, and disciplined rollout and rollback strategies.
- Ensure production systems meet required levels of resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability.
- Strengthen cross-functional execution and adapt to new domains, technologies, and problem spaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 12+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated depth in full-stack engineering and system or application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Experience designing RESTful and streaming-based APIs.
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions involving microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores and how to apply them at scale.
- Experience with AI-enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML-driven services, for developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes.
- Pragmatic understanding of responsible AI use, scalability, and integration into enterprise platforms.
- Experience in securities, financial services, or modern engineering-first organizations is a plus.
