Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of Android systems that integrate with WHOOP hardware and firmware.
- Implement and maintain APIs and services for efficient data pipelines of hardware and physiological data.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance system reliability.
- Explore and apply new technologies to improve accessibility, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Uphold best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Android development with experience in production applications.
- Familiarity with API and SDK design, including integration with backend or hardware systems.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or other wireless communication protocols preferred.
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts such as data pipelines and database optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Commitment to leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks.
