- Own critical incident response, fault isolation, service restoration, and root-cause analysis in live carrier-grade customer environments.
- Analyze logs, network flows, trace data, system behavior, and distributed-platform performance to improve network stability and prevent repeat faults.
- Collaborate with product, project, service delivery, IMS, EPC/5GC, RAN, and BSS/Charging teams on cross-domain issues.
- Provide customer and stakeholder updates, technical guidance, resolution plans, RCAs, and impact analysis during high-priority incidents.
- Drive operational efficiency through automation, documentation, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot cloud-native 5G Core issues involving registration, slice selection, service discovery, routing, scaling, upgrades, installations, and expansions.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of UDC/UDM architecture, including CUDB/UDR, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, EIR-FE, CCRC, CCSM, CCDM, subscriber data models, replication, and subscription flows.
- Strong knowledge of Diameter interfaces including S6a/S6d, Cx, Sh, Gr, SLh, and Ud, plus MAP and 5G UDM Nudm interfaces.
- Practical experience troubleshooting HLR-FE, HSS-FE, and EIR-FE behavior across attach, registration, authentication, subscription, barring, roaming, and IMEI-check scenarios.
- Strong platform and cloud troubleshooting skills across network functions, pods, instances, Kubernetes, containers, Linux, YAML configuration, alarms, KPIs, CPU, RAM, and disk.
- Experience with CCDM/CUDB provisioning and data operations, including order flows, bulk operations, migrations, consistency checks, subscriber-data correction, and rollback planning.
- Solid incident, change, and problem management skills, with the ability to document and explain complex UDM/UDC findings clearly.
- Knowledge of 5GC/CCRC interactions with NRF, NSSF, DNS, and SBI/HTTP2, as well as geo-redundancy, database synchronization, system expansion/reduction, installation, and upgrades.
- Ability to troubleshoot Kubernetes and network-function logs across cloud-native 5G Core environments.
- The posting seeks an experienced, technically strong, customer-focused engineer able to operate effectively during high-pressure incidents.
