Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test scenarios and cases across functional, API, automation, mobile, performance, UAT, production, and validation testing phases.
- Identify, document, define, and mitigate test defects, issues, dependencies, and risks.
- Review functional specifications, business processes, test data, and test environment requirements for testability and traceability.
- Assist with QA test strategies, methodologies, project plans, testing scope, approaches, schedules, milestones, and timelines.
- Execute QA project plans with guidance from senior team members for minimally to moderately complex projects.
- Generate test execution, defect, and ad hoc reports and provide daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, communicate progress, escalate risks, and support continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, or six years of equivalent work experience in place of the degree.
- At least three years of experience in SQA, software testing, or a related field.
- At least one year of test automation using Java.
- At least one year of experience with test management tools such as Qtest or QualityCenter.
- At least one year of experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or Rally.
- At least one year of experience with API testing or debugging tools such as Postman.
- Knowledge of testing fundamentals, Karate, Java, Selenium, Appium, API testing, and functional testing.
- Preferred experience includes Web Services, mobile technologies, informal technical leadership, leadership interaction, large matrixed organizations, IT vendors, SDLC implementation, technical documentation, virtual testing environments, healthcare testing, business system applications, and data marts or data warehouses.
- Preferred qualifications include QAI, ASQ, or similar certification and experience with CI/CD tools, code review, Perfecto, XCUITest, or Espresso.
