Responsibilities
- Own account-level technical strategy from discovery through production deployment and consumption growth.
- Lead architecture discussions and design scalable solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, streaming, real-time analytics, and lakehouse patterns.
- Advise customer architects, engineering leads, and directors on technical architecture and trade-offs.
- Build custom solutions and demonstrations to support competitive technical wins.
- Develop a technical specialization and become a recognized domain resource within the team.
- Coordinate DSAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
- Provide structured customer and competitive feedback to influence product direction.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical presales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
- Strong Python and SQL coding proficiency, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
- Deep expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
- Proficiency with the Databricks Platform or the ability to become proficient rapidly.
- Experience leading architecture discussions, whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analysis with senior technical stakeholders.
- Experience deploying production systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure, security, and governance considerations.
- Demonstrated success driving platform adoption and consumption growth within customer accounts.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex architectures into business value for technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Databricks certifications, experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse, data/AI or cloud-provider experience, and relevant industry expertise are preferred.
