Base Salary

$148k - $201k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Prototype and deploy AI-powered features that improve search, recommendations, and workflow automation across the Censys Platform.
  • Apply machine learning to streamline workflows, personalize experiences, and surface critical insights.
  • Develop, fine-tune, and scale LLMs and RAG pipelines that reason over Internet-scale data and provide context-aware summaries and insights.
  • Build AI-driven analytics and automation systems for faster, data-backed customer decisions.
  • Collaborate with frontend, product, and data engineering teams to integrate secure, seamless AI-native platform experiences.
  • Evaluate and improve model performance using RAGAS, LangSmith, and automated regression testing frameworks.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and scaling AI-powered user-facing features.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for backend and API services development.
  • Familiarity with RAG evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS and LangSmith, plus experience designing regression testing for LLM pipelines.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, secure and responsible AI practices, guardrails, safety checks, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and AI application deployment.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI/ML architectures, model evaluation, applied deep learning, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, LLM fine-tuning, embedding models, and AI-driven analytics.
  • Experience optimizing AI models for low-latency, real-time browser or frontend interactions.
  • Experience deploying secure AI systems in cybersecurity or other sensitive-data domains is preferred.
  • Strong cross-team collaboration and the ability to rapidly prototype, validate, and refine AI features are required.
