Responsibilities
- Define, drive, and communicate the technical roadmap and long-term vision for Android applications.
- Drive adoption and integration of AI technologies across product architectures and internal engineering processes.
- Design scalable, modular, and maintainable application architectures using MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
- Set coding standards, conduct complex code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and foster technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory-management issues, and battery-efficiency challenges for enterprise devices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and customers to translate requirements into deployable solutions.
- Own and optimize CI/CD, application security frameworks, and release processes for the Google Play Store.
- Develop, validate, test, and document software and perform software-hardware system integration.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience with high proficiency in Android, Java, and Kotlin.
- Required familiarity with Android web development, including client and server development.
- Required experience working directly with customers to gather requirements and resolve issues.
- Deep knowledge of the Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and the Android application framework.
- Strong experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger.
- Experience with Retrofit, Room Database, Firebase, and complex API integration.
- Experience optimizing applications for diverse hardware profiles, device capabilities, and screen sizes.
- Experience designing end-to-end solutions spanning web interfaces or consoles through Android device changes.
- Strong experience with Test-Driven Development, JUnit unit testing, and Espresso instrumentation testing.
- Experience with AI technologies, modern machine learning models, and deployment and organizational adoption of AI-based development tools.
- Strong Agile experience and familiarity with tools such as Jira.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication abilities, collaboration, leadership, and adaptability.
