Responsibilities
- Partner with product management to shape product strategy, product descriptions, and technology roadmap alignment.
- Set engineering standards and provide senior technical expertise across multiple teams.
- Own technical product design and architecture for complex end-to-end software systems.
- Develop and shape a department-wide technical vision and influence strategic change.
- Coach and mentor team members and serve as a technical role model.
- Collaborate with product, software engineering, architecture, and cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions.
- Work with customers to understand their needs and improve Early Warning products.
- Create and deliver technical presentations to small-to-medium groups and stakeholders at all company levels.
- Support risk management and the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or experience typically obtained through that background.
- At least 15 years of experience designing and developing complex software projects, including at least 8 years in the fintech domain.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in creating technical solutions.
- Proven experience designing and building complex end-to-end systems as a full-stack developer.
- Hands-on experience with Java, RESTful web services, AWS, microservices architecture, messaging frameworks, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, and scripting frameworks.
- Experience with test automation across unit, component, integration, and functional testing levels.
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, CI/CD pipeline implementation, code repositories, bug tracking tools, and wikis.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices, software development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Effective communication and public speaking skills, with comfort presenting to all organizational levels.
- Preferred qualifications include an M.S. or Ph.D., database architecture experience, Terraform or other cloud orchestration experience, monitoring and alerting experience, additional programming languages, and knowledge of ACH/EFT and real-time payment networks.

- San Francisco base pay range of $207,000-$276,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary incentive plan.
