Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and business objectives to propose effective technical solutions.
- Prepare technical approach documents, effort estimates, high-level estimates, quotes, and functional and technical approaches.
- Develop, code, unit test, peer review, and maintain software solutions.
- Plan and manage software releases, rollouts, patches, schedules, and release notes.
- Provide technical input for pre-sales activities and deliver product or solution demonstrations.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues while providing code fixes and unit testing.
- Support go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and deployments remotely or on-site across customer time zones.
- Provide technical guidance to assigned engineers and coordinate with customers and cross-functional project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; MCA or MSc in Computer Science is also accepted.
- 5 to 7.5 years of total professional experience.
- Experience with Java, Ext JS, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Experience in test management and test execution.
- In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools.
- Experience with source code control systems such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including command-line usage.
- Working knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking.
- Ability to evaluate competing solutions, own end-to-end project delivery, and provide technical guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with Blue Yonder, JDA, RedPrairie WMS, or other WMS platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and AI tools such as Cursor AI, Replit AI, and GitHub Copilot is preferred.
