Responsibilities
- Lead application systems analysis, programming, architecture, and implementation activities.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions and identify system enhancements for new products and process improvements.
- Design and build Java and Spring-based microservices and event-driven systems using Kafka.
- Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards aligned with the architecture blueprint.
- Analyze complex business and system processes to resolve high-impact problems and develop solutions.
- Provide technical advice and coaching to mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary.
- Assess and manage technology, compliance, and business risks while safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets.
- Manage and implement successful projects and serve as a subject matter expert in an Applications Development area.
Requirements
- 13–16 years of relevant experience in Applications Development or systems analysis.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
- Strong experience implementing Kafka for event-driven systems.
- Experience with container technologies, specifically ECS.
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL for database development and optimization.
- Extensive experience in software application systems analysis and programming.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Practical exposure to AI tools and the ability to craft optimized prompts is preferred.
