Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade backend services for deployment orchestration, internal APIs, and developer platform capabilities.
- Contribute to service architecture, API design, persistence layers, scalability strategies, and fault tolerance.
- Own and optimize CI/CD systems, including automated blue/green, canary, and rollback deployment strategies.
- Create reusable pipeline templates, patterns, and tooling that improve product-team self-service and developer velocity.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Architect Docker images and container workflows and support ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes orchestration platforms.
- Improve infrastructure consistency, drift detection, reliability, observability, and security across staging and production.
- Use metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, telemetry, and SLO-driven insights to diagnose issues and improve reliability.
- Establish engineering standards and collaborate with product engineering, platform, infrastructure, and security teams.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, developer infrastructure, or cloud-native software roles.
- Proven experience building and operating production backend services with ownership of APIs, reliability, and scalability.
- Strong programming skills in at least one backend language, such as Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience designing and supporting distributed systems, including concurrency, networking fundamentals, failure modes, and scaling patterns.
- Deep familiarity with modern cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
