Base Salary
$175k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives from problem framing through rollout, including user feedback and outcome measurement.
- Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality through code review, design feedback, pairing, and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident learning for supported services.
- Provide technical support during customer escalations and identify areas of user friction.
- Collaborate across squads by writing design proposals, running demos, and advocating for the roadmap.
- Build and evolve Grafana data visualizations and related frontend experiences.
Requirements
- Experience leading teams through projects, mentoring engineers, and serving as a technical force multiplier.
- Experience operating production software, participating in on-call work, supporting systems, and responding to incidents.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems independently and deliver production software.
- User-focused, pragmatic approach using short feedback loops, MVPs, and iteration.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and frameworks and a practical focus on delivering reliable solutions.
- Clear communication skills for a fully remote and asynchronous environment.
- Open-source contribution or maintainership, observability experience, and familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Tempo are preferred.
