Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Java applications, modules, and backend solutions for insurance projects.
  • Contribute to requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, debugging, and software documentation.
  • Support R&D projects by identifying best practices, evaluating Java technologies, conducting pilots and proofs of concept, and documenting implementation results.
  • Support senior EIS specialists with platform configuration, integrations, and backend logic while progressing toward EIS specialization.
  • Participate in cross-skilling toward Guidewire technologies and contribute to enterprise insurance platform implementation projects.
  • Collaborate with R&D, senior technical specialists, and multicultural cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or another technical qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a corporate IT environment in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Java and related frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, independence, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture is preferred.
  • Interest in the insurance or banking sector and familiarity with insurance core platforms are advantageous.
  • Relevant coursework or certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure are advantageous.
  • Experience with agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
