Responsibilities
- Design and implement patterns for legacy displacement and move domains out of the monolith with zero downtime.
- Build new services and transition existing systems from .NET and Go toward a unified Java/Spring stack.
- Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and roadmaps while balancing technical debt and new value.
- Develop and operate performant, reliable backend systems using observability tools such as Grafana and modern tracing.
- Use agentic programming tools such as Claude Code to accelerate refactoring and development workflows.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across distributed teams and time zones through documentation and asynchronous communication.
- Maintain robust unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
- Mentor teammates and share engineering knowledge across the organization.
Requirements
- Deep experience with backend systems and comfort switching between programming languages.
- Experience with event-driven systems, monolith decomposition, and system migrations.
- Practical React expertise is welcomed for this backend-prioritized, full-stack-minded role.
- Strong product mindset and ability to understand the business impact of architectural decisions.
- Commitment to collaboration, mentoring, high-quality engineering, testing, and observability.
