Responsibilities
- Design platform architecture and provide automation and implementation for landing zones, networking, and security infrastructure in new AWS regions.
- Create, document, and support infrastructure-as-code modules.
- Build and support tools and services for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment of highly available infrastructure.
- Develop tools that help developers migrate infrastructure from a monolithic repository to individual service repositories for use with the internal developer platform.
- Apply unit testing, code standards, and sound design practices to internal tools and team products.
- Mentor and support developers in using and extending IaC tooling and support systems.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role.
- Expertise with at least one public cloud offering, including AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure SDKs.
- Strong experience writing Terraform providers and working with infrastructure-as-code framework internals and SDKs.
- Solid experience with Go, Python, Java, or Kotlin, along with strong testing, quality, and engineering best-practice knowledge.
- Experience maintaining large-scale production and nonproduction infrastructure workloads.
- Experience delivering continuous integration, deployment, and delivery of cloud infrastructure at scale for technology teams of hundreds of developers.
- Experience leading the build and scale of critical platform features.
- A commitment to building a diverse team and prioritizing customer success.
- Exposure to or experience using AI tools such as Claude is helpful but nonessential.
