Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and support of scalable Salesforce platform solutions using custom and declarative development.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, reusable frameworks, quality gates, and secure design practices.
  • Lead technical design sessions, code reviews, design reviews, solution approvals, and technical risk mitigation.
  • Partner with architects on integration architecture, data models, organization strategy, and platform scalability.
  • Break down epics into technical tasks, estimate and sequence work, and manage technical delivery across sprint teams.
  • Own release and environment strategy, including sandbox management, branching, deployments, and CI/CD pipeline health.
  • Lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities and establish responsible AI standards.
  • Oversee unit, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing, including automation frameworks, code coverage, and quality metrics.
  • Provide expert assistance with complex technical issues, bug fixes, enhancements, and Tier 3 escalations.
  • Mentor senior and junior developers, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and support onboarding and skills development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of Salesforce development experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or lead developer capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is required; Salesforce Administrator certification is required or strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect certification is highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce architecture, security and sharing models, coding standards, design guidelines, governor limits, and enterprise-scale delivery.
  • Expert-level experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Aura, LWC, asynchronous patterns, Flows, object configuration, validation rules, and App Builder.
  • Strong integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft or equivalent middleware, ETL, and event-driven patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce AI capabilities such as Agentforce, Einstein, Prompt Builder, or Data Cloud is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, context grounding, tool and function calling, agentic workflows, model evaluation, and AI risk controls.
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code, SFDX, Salesforce Lightning Design System, Salesforce Development Lifecycle, Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in SOQL, SOSL, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with Java or .NET, Python, Node.js, React, Azure, AWS, and NoSQL databases is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a Scrum or agile environment and communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
