Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure cloud-native microservices-based software solutions.
- Build scalable, reliable architectures using domain modeling, distributed systems patterns, and designs that avoid single points of failure.
- Develop production code, review and debug code written by others, and ensure software is testable, maintainable, and secure.
- Improve operational stability by identifying and automating remediation for recurring issues.
- Design solutions supporting zero-downtime releases and optimized data performance.
- Lead communities of practice and share software engineering technologies, patterns, and best practices.
- Drive responsible team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation tools, including validation for correctness, performance, and security.
- Coach engineers on secure, compliant handling of AI-assisted development inputs and outputs.
- Continuously update technologies and patterns and contribute to the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js and experience building microservices-based applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, distributed systems, web technologies, WebSockets, and JSON.
- Experience designing and building scalable applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, automation, continuous delivery methods, testing, and operational support.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and understanding of application resiliency and security.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, mentoring, stakeholder management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to drive broader impact through best-practice sharing and contribution.
- Banking-domain experience and AWS certification are preferred.
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum is preferred.
