Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure production software across multiple technical areas.
- Build scalable cloud-native, microservices-based applications and resilient architectures that support zero-downtime releases.
- Develop Java, Spring Boot, Python, and React-based applications, integrations, and relational data solutions.
- Design secure REST integrations using authentication, authorization, certificates, and related identity technologies.
- Improve operational stability by automating recurring remediation and eliminating single points of failure.
- Lead communities of practice and promote modern software engineering patterns and technologies.
- Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with standards for validating outputs, security, performance, and correctness.
- Coach engineers on responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI in engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong Java 17 and Spring Boot experience, including REST APIs, Spring Security, schedulers, and multi-module Maven applications.
- Strong Python experience, preferably with FastAPI, asynchronous processing, Poetry, Gunicorn, and pytest.
- Hands-on front-end experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS/Sass, and responsive web applications.
- Experience with Webpack, Babel, Jest, React Testing Library, Axios, React Router, and component libraries.
- Understanding of application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture.
- Experience with JSON, XML, OAuth2, SAML, TLS/mTLS, certificate-based authentication, ADFS, Active Directory, LDAP, role-based access control, and X.509 certificates.
- Experience leading AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience using relational databases such as MS SQL Server.
- Preferred experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Jenkins; Git; Bitbucket; relational data modeling; and AWS certification.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, mentoring, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
