Responsibilities
- Design and test reference application processor firmware.
- Develop and debug low-level software across software models, development boards, and shipping products.
- Create software stacks for Arm reference platforms and future Arm devices.
- Develop test code and automation solutions to reduce manual testing and development work.
- Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and help implement project plans.
- Contribute to upstreaming and software maintenance.
- Perform firmware verification and validation on pre-silicon platforms.
Requirements
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills, including adding significant functionality and analyzing and fixing complex defects.
- Demonstrated experience with software testing or software development.
- Strong debugging skills and understanding of application and low-level systems.
- Understanding of system architecture, preferably Arm, operating-system fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Preferred experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and driver development.
- Understanding of test methodologies, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Strong written and spoken English and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience with Python, shell scripting, Linux kernel concepts, system software, device drivers, Android internals, software profiling, instrumentation, optimization, and firmware verification.
- Familiarity with open-source contribution processes, Security Development Lifecycle practices, and software development lifecycle methods.
