  • Optimize RTL, simulation, verification, physical design, place-and-route, and timing-closure workflows for engineering throughput and cloud cost efficiency.
  • Own cloud HPC compute strategy, including auto-scaling, job scheduling, license-aware scheduling, clusters, virtual runners, artifact repositories, and credential environments.
  • Build a centralized data lake for HPC, CI/CD, license, and design-tool telemetry and deliver role-specific dashboards and insights.
  • Deploy AI-assisted telemetry for regression triage, failure analysis, root-cause debugging, and pipeline and cost forecasting.
  • Develop automation frameworks integrating source control, code review platforms, and CAD/EDA tools.
  • Support HR, Legal, and Finance automation for employee lifecycle, contracts, approvals, spend attribution, forecasting, and compliance controls.
  • Integrate enterprise systems of record with engineering automation through APIs, event-driven triggers, and workflow/iPaaS tooling.
  • Advise on cloud infrastructure investment, cost strategy, and the long-term automation roadmap.

  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 20+ years of progressive technical experience, including at least 10+ years specializing in CAD infrastructure, cloud HPC, or build/release automation for complex engineering environments.
  • Deep hands-on experience running HPC/EDA workloads natively in the cloud, preferably AWS, including cost optimization.
  • Working knowledge of front-end and back-end semiconductor design flows across the ASIC/SoC development cycle.
  • Experience building and operating data lakes and delivering role-tailored dashboards and insights.
  • Expert command of Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, Shell/Bash, Tcl, and Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise using Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as core development tools.
  • Track record of defining organization-wide automation strategies that improve engineering velocity, cost efficiency, and reliability.
  • Experience with business-process automation outside engineering, including employee lifecycle and identity/access provisioning.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder processes into durable, auditable automated workflows that satisfy SOX, access-review, and data-privacy requirements.
  • Experience mentoring teams, setting technical direction across organizations, and communicating with engineers and executive leaders.

Benefits

  • Salary range is $205,000 to $260,000 depending on experience, level, and business need.
  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.
  • The role offers a broad principal-level mandate spanning cloud-native CAD infrastructure, data insights, engineering productivity, and company-wide automation.
