Base Salary
$182k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of new features in Ro’s native iOS application.
- Build real-time, visually engaging, accessible, and performant experiences for patients managing their health and care.
- Partner with design, product, data, and backend engineering to shape the mobile roadmap and own initiatives end to end.
- Define and enforce best practices for testing, observability, accessibility, performance optimization, and technical quality.
- Improve application performance, scalability, and developer velocity.
- Contribute to mobile architecture, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and App Store release management.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, design discussions, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping iOS applications at scale.
- Proficiency in Swift, Swift Concurrency, and SwiftUI.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, and accessibility principles.
- Deep experience with multithreading, async/await, memory management, and unit testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and App Store release processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, data partners, and backend engineers.
- Strong ownership from technical design and implementation through post-release monitoring and iteration.
- Experience mentoring or guiding engineers through technical leadership or peer coaching.
- Genuine care for user experience and the ability to select elegant visual solutions aligned with product and design goals.
- Bonus: experience in telehealth or other highly regulated industries.
- Bonus: experience decoupling monolithic applications into distributed asynchronous services.
