Responsibilities
- Co-create technology strategy and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Define architectural direction across platforms, services, and systems.
- Guide modernization of enterprise systems and platform evolution.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple squads and domains.
- Identify reuse, simplification, and standardization opportunities and resolve complex cross-domain engineering challenges.
- Champion engineering standards, quality, observability, automation, reliability, and platform consistency.
- Lead architecture reviews and governance practices.
- Mentor Staff Engineers and senior engineers through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product, architecture, business stakeholders, and senior engineering leadership.
- Influence engineering roadmaps and investment decisions through technical credibility.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading large-scale platforms and distributed systems.
- Proven success driving technical strategy across multiple teams.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and modern engineering practices.
- Experience balancing immediate delivery with long-term platform evolution.
- Experience building shared platforms, reusable services, or enterprise capabilities.
- Strong fundamentals and depth in modern engineering.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with distributed systems, API-driven architectures, workflow and orchestration platforms such as Temporal, and enterprise workflow and integration patterns.
- Experience with AWS, including Lambda and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Python, agentic AI patterns and frameworks, and agent SDKs or orchestration tools such as LangGraph or similar.
- Experience with GitHub and modern automation practices.
