Base Salary
$106k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to real-world software projects across the full development lifecycle.
- Design, implement, test, integrate, and review code collaboratively with guidance from senior engineers.
- Analyze requirements, test features, and contribute components to applications.
- Create technical documentation for designs and features.
- Develop data-driven solutions using machine learning and AI technologies.
- Participate in design and code reviews and apply feedback from mentors and teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming experience in Python, Java, C++, or Go, including APIs or services, tests, and Git-based collaborative development.
- Hands-on exposure to machine learning and deep learning concepts, training and inference workflows, and basic model evaluation using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation concepts involving embeddings and search.
- Exposure to ML data handling, Parquet, basic ETL, and data quality checks.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred qualifications include FastAPI or Flask, REST or gRPC, LangChain or LlamaIndex, vector search, LoRA or PEFT, MLflow or Weights & Biases, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Spark, Ray, Kafka, or Airflow.
- Must be willing to relocate to Seattle, WA, or San Jose, CA, if not currently located in one of those areas.
- Position is exclusively for candidates who completed F5’s Summer 2026 Internship Program and received an invitation to apply for a return role.
