Base Salary
$100k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AI-powered automations and workflows for recurring business processes such as report generation, approvals, policy questions, and data reconciliation.
- Develop internal tools and microservices integrating systems across finance, HR, IT, cybersecurity, supply chain, manufacturing, and sales.
- Create and maintain Slack and Teams bots, web frontends, and internal applications serving as business-user copilots.
- Use LLMs and agent frameworks to build task-specific assistants, including contract summarization, supplier risk analysis, and policy advisory agents.
- Work with the Internal AI Tools Lead and business stakeholders to convert manual workflows into technical requirements and automation designs.
- Contribute clean, tested code, shared libraries, templates, and best practices for internal automations.
- Monitor and debug production automations and improve their reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience, with internships, research, and substantial personal projects accepted.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience building scripts, APIs, small web applications, or workflow automations.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and basic data modeling using SQL or modern data stores.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs or automation platforms such as OpenAI tools, LangChain, Zapier, n8n, or similar.
- Willingness to work directly with nontechnical users and take ownership of shipping solutions.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related STEM field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with internal tools, low-code/no-code automation, back-office systems, enterprise environments, or security-conscious industries is preferred.
- Portfolio examples of automations, bots, dashboards, or other productivity tools are preferred.
