Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and optimize scalable Java microservices and backend APIs.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote sound coding, design, and architectural practices.
Improve system scalability and performance through caching, database tuning, and asynchronous processing.
Design and deploy cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms.
Integrate machine learning, LLMs, NLP algorithms, and process engines into conversational AI capabilities.
Enhance WebSockets-based real-time messaging and event-driven architectures.
Design and optimize MySQL and Redis schemas and queries.
Implement secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms, and enterprise security protocols.
Drive CI/CD, DevOps, and deployment automation improvements.
Contribute to system architecture, technical strategy, and cross-functional delivery.

6+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and API design.
Experience with AI/ML, NLP, and large language models.
Proven experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with MySQL, Redis, query optimization, and schema design.
Strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with WebSockets, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar real-time messaging technologies.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, system design, scalability, and performance-tuning skills.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools including Maven, Gradle, Bamboo, and Jenkins.
Experience with Unix-like operating systems and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with graph algorithms, process engines, enterprise AI architectures, OAuth, SAML, and JWT is preferred.
Exposure to React, JavaScript, and TypeScript for full-stack contributions is preferred.
Open-source contributions or research in AI/ML, cloud computing, or distributed systems is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, technical leadership, and mentoring abilities.

The role is based in Bengaluru and is hybrid.
The position is hired into Amelia Global Services, a subsidiary of SoundHound AI.
The recruiting team will provide a total compensation range based on location and years of experience.
