Base Salary
$200k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure across cloud, data, and AI/ML systems.
- Own and drive the evolution of Compa’s Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Work on scaling and automation of infrastructure services and tooling.
- Raise the bar on reliability and observability through SLIs/SLOs and monitoring.
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Drive major initiatives like multi-cloud support and customer-managed encryption keys.
- Lead platform engineering efforts to reduce toil and improve developer velocity.
- Act as a technical leader and multiplier by setting direction and mentoring others.
- Partner with leadership on future development directions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience in software engineering focused on infrastructure or backend systems.
- Deep, hands-on experience with managed Kubernetes platforms like EKS, GKE, or AKS.
- Strong coding skills in Python for building infrastructure and backend tooling.
- Experience with multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Understanding of networking, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Passion for enabling teams to build quickly and safely with proactive detection mechanisms.
- Comfortable in a startup environment with high ownership and fast pace.
