Responsibilities
- Improve the infrastructure systems that power Spotify’s backend.
- Build, operate, and maintain central services focusing on reliability and scalability.
- Design and develop infrastructure tools and services for engineering teams.
- Support thousands of developers and over a billion users with modern technologies.
- Contribute to system performance, availability, and resilience.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support team-owned services.
Requirements
- Experience in building backend systems or infrastructure services.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language, with Java experience preferred.
- Experience working with cloud-based environments.
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
- Commitment to building reliable systems and improving performance.
- Interest in learning and experimenting with new technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with others across teams and locations.
- Interest in networking, media delivery, or CDN systems.
