Associate Principal Software Engineer – AB Suite

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of complex AB Suite applications.
- Develop and maintain AB Suite application components including Ispecs, Reports, Classes, Methods, and Services.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues while supporting L2/L3 maintenance and SLA compliance.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentoring, and coaching to development teams and AB Suite engineers.
- Review technical designs, code, and solution approaches and promote coding and development best practices.
- Participate in architecture discussions and recommend improvements to system design, performance, maintainability, reliability, and security.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders for requirements gathering, solution discussions, status reviews, estimates, and issue resolution.
- Support application transition, knowledge acquisition, onboarding, stabilization, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Define and monitor quality metrics and contribute to application modernization, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, support, and maintenance.
- Hands-on Unisys EAE/AB Suite development and support experience is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications in production environments.
- Experience leading development teams, technical workstreams, or major project initiatives.
- Experience in customer-facing environments and collaboration with globally distributed teams.
- Knowledge transition, application onboarding, and production support experience is preferred.
- Experience with COBOL, Java, .NET, C#, Mainframe, RPG, or other enterprise application technologies is acceptable, and AB Suite training will be provided to qualified candidates.
- Ability to undertake short-term or long-term travel when required.
