Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions for securely accessing, transferring, and transforming patient data.
  • Drive technical objectives, lead architectural decisions, and align work with global engineering standards.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of data extraction systems and web applications.
  • Solve business, security, data privacy, networking, and infrastructure challenges.
  • Deploy solutions at hospital partner premises and troubleshoot local infrastructure, network configurations, and technical constraints.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers while fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Lead technical discussions and align requirements with physicians, hospital executives, customers, and vendor partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience using languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • 5+ years of experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and backend frameworks such as ASP.NET Core and Spring MVC.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • 3+ years of Linux system administration experience.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, system architecture, data modeling, and secure API design.
  • Business-level English proficiency and native or advanced business-level Japanese proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and proxy configurations, with experience troubleshooting connectivity in secure or restricted enterprise environments.
  • Willingness to travel to hospital partner premises for server operations.
  • Preferred experience includes developing or operating EHR or department systems, managing server hardware, and developing on AWS.

Benefits

  • Full-time indefinite employment with a six-month probationary period.
  • Work location is Tokyo, Japan, with normal hours of 9:00–18:00 and eligibility for a flex-time system.
  • Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays are observed as holidays.
