Responsibilities
- Design and develop new and existing applications.
- Produce technical deliverables from inception through deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable code aligned with engineering standards.
- Participate in technical discussions, software development lifecycle activities, and team ceremonies.
- Conduct unit testing and support code coverage expectations.
- Partner with developers, architects, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Explore emerging technologies and contribute ideas that improve engineering practices.
- Follow application security standards and practices to produce secure, vulnerability-free code.
- Support peers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Be an undergraduate student completing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related STEM program, with anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Be a current undergraduate third-year student available for the four-month work term.
- Have strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Understand data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Demonstrate coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Have familiarity with Git, SQL databases, modern development pipelines, source control, testing practices, and modern development tools.
- Show interest in capital markets, financial technology, or complex systems development.
- Previous co-op or internship experience is preferred.
