Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, delivery, integration, deployment, and ongoing operation of AI-enabled sourcing and procurement capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and oversee design, development, testing, release, deployment, and support activities.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight across internal engineering teams and external delivery partners.
- Design and support AI- and agent-based workflows, context-driven decision flows, enterprise integrations, APIs, application code, and reusable technical components.
- Maintain deployed capabilities through defect resolution, technical enhancements, environment management, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Ensure solutions use shared taxonomies, ontologies, and structured knowledge models while separating semantic logic, application logic, and agent behavior.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, performance, scalability, security, governance, and long-term maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI development practices to improve delivery and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience, including at least five years in an AI environment.
- Strong software engineering foundation with Python, APIs and integrations, cloud/application architecture, and sufficient full-stack experience to work in production codebases.
- Practical experience with LLM, RAG, agentic AI, and/or intelligent workflow solutions.
- Experience owning enterprise applications through build, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Ability to troubleshoot application code, integrations, workflows, data, and AI behavior, making appropriate changes directly and identifying when specialist support is needed.
- Experience providing technical oversight to engineering teams and external delivery partners.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications, integrations, APIs, workflows, and digital solutions.
- Experience with modern software development frameworks, cloud technologies, and application architectures.
