Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance applications and services using Java and the Spring ecosystem, preferably Spring Boot.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable, high-performance Securities Finance components.
- Build distributed systems and enterprise-grade services involving APIs, messaging, and batch or stream processing.
- Collaborate with technology teams across global time zones to deliver features, fixes, and platform improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, unit and integration testing, and release activities.
- Diagnose production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Improve architecture, engineering practices, automation, and observability.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on development experience with Core Java and Spring frameworks.
- Production experience delivering distributed systems and enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with Redis and Kafka.
- Familiarity with AWS EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, and SNS.
- Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo in software development lifecycle tooling.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and proficiency using GitHub Copilot.
- Preferred: Python development experience and familiarity with Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS QuickSight.
- Preferred: exposure to financial services, Securities Finance, Prime Services, or trading systems.
