Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the platform integrations layer end to end, including connectivity, data ingestion and exports, orchestration, retries, and state management.
- Build and maintain inbound and outbound integrations with Salesforce and other external APIs.
- Design and implement in-house services that process large data volumes while optimizing throughput and latency.
- Design and maintain RESTful and webhook-based APIs with rate limiting, pagination, error handling, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to define integration requirements and execution guarantees such as SLAs and SLOs.
- Build logging, tracing, and metrics into integration systems and use observability to monitor and improve production reliability.
- Independently lead medium and large feature development, mentor engineers, and conduct code reviews.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools for potential adoption.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience focused on backend systems.
- Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; Java with Spring Boot is a plus.
- Experience building inbound and outbound integrations with external or third-party APIs.
- Experience building high-volume data services and optimizing data processing or ingestion under real-world constraints.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, and robust solution implementation skills.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and JWT.
- Proficiency with MongoDB and comfort working across relational and NoSQL data stores.
- React familiarity is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
