Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and modernize production-ready Java systems supporting medical device review.
- Develop and migrate legacy Java applications to modern frameworks and architectures.
- Design databases and write and optimize SQL queries.
- Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Provide production support and resolve system issues.
- Deploy and support containerized and cloud-based applications using DevOps tools and practices.
- Evaluate emerging tools and techniques and recommend system, architecture, and scalability improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ years of Java experience, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, or related Java web technologies.
- 3+ years of experience with React.js, Vue, or Angular.js and responsive, accessible UI development.
- Experience using an AI-enabled IDE such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Experience with database design and SQL optimization using technologies such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with J2EE, JSP, or Servlets and developing migration strategies to modern frameworks.
- Experience with production support and issue resolution.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure and DevOps tools including Git and Jenkins.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Preferred experience with Jira, Confluence, Selenium, JUnit, JavaScript testing libraries, stored procedures, advanced database performance tuning, or federal health agencies.
