Base Salary
$105k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support scalable, resilient distributed systems and reusable application and database components.
- Collaborate across the full software development lifecycle, including product definition, design sessions, code reviews, deployment, and operations.
- Develop Java applications and PostgreSQL databases using Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure services.
- Integrate machine learning models into production Java applications using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Develop and maintain agentic AI systems that automate business processes and improve customer experiences.
- Implement Apache Kafka and Spark data pipelines for machine learning model inference and training.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Requirements
- At least four years of professional software development experience with Java frameworks and distributed systems.
- At least three years of experience with system architecture, design patterns, and scalable backend development.
- At least three years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- At least two years of experience with big data technologies, real-time processing, or machine learning frameworks.
- At least one year of experience with Apache Kafka, Spark, or similar distributed data-processing technologies.
- Fluency in at least two modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience with microservices architecture, extensible REST APIs, PostgreSQL database design and administration, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, application monitoring, and developer tooling.
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, machine learning model integration, security protocols, Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth, data structures, algorithms, and advanced SQL scripting.
- Experience with AI/ML model integration in production environments is preferred.
- Exposure to agentic AI systems, Flutter, ReactJS, and modern frontend frameworks is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience; additional AI/ML, data engineering, or distributed systems coursework or certification is preferred.
