Responsibilities
- Collaborate with systems architects, software team leads, and developers to design, develop, and deploy technical solutions.
- Lead project-team activities and provide direction for business systems analysis, development, and occasional maintenance support.
- Analyze complex information and design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain database applications.
- Review functional requirements and prepare technical program, subsystem, and system designs, task descriptions, and effort estimates.
- Perform new development, maintenance fixes, and enhancements to meet business requirements.
- Support other teams in troubleshooting application issues across production, quality assurance, and other environments.
- Plan, document, and complete automated and manual unit and integration testing before production.
- Test programs for integration prior to production and document system problem resolutions and system requirements.
- Mentor software developers and IT staff members.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, advanced Java concepts, and Oracle.
- Proficiency with UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows distributed computing.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap or Tailwind, and responsive design.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, API and API design, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, relational database principles, and SQL.
- Experience with a Java IDE, preferably IntelliJ IDEA.
- Ability to work with system architects to review and approve program and subsystem designs.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration with Product Analysts, QA, UAT, Development, and PMO members.
