Responsibilities
- Own the design and technical direction of Google Cloud solutions and lead teams or technical efforts toward successful project outcomes.
- Design scalable, highly available, secure, and disaster-resilient architectures for cloud, AI, analytics, API, microservices, and data platforms.
- Lead development processes, establish architectural and software design patterns, and oversee delivery through production.
- Develop code and pipelines, review code, troubleshoot solutions, perform root cause analysis, and support release assurance.
- Coach and mentor team members while contributing centralized technical expertise across one or more teams.
- Engage regularly with clients as a primary technical contact and participate in architectural discussions.
- Contribute to proposals, client presentations, solution approaches, and account management activities.
Requirements
- Experience as a software or DevOps engineer using technologies such as Java, Python, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience designing and delivering solutions on Google Cloud, including serverless, compute, AI, and data services.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, architectures, architectural techniques, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience working in an agile development team and applying software design patterns, test automation, CI/CD, and code review practices.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud SDK, SQL, Linux, PowerShell, shell scripting, HTML, CSS, databases, containers, serverless architectures, and microservices.
- Experience with Java ecosystem tools and frameworks, including Spring Boot, Guice, Jersey, Node.js, Flask, Maven, and Gradle.
- Knowledge of machine learning tools and techniques such as AutoML, TensorFlow, Natural Language, and Vision AI.
- Google Certified Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, or Cloud Developer qualification is preferred, although equivalent hands-on experience is valued.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, coach and mentor teams, engage with clients, shape proposals, and take ownership of outcomes.
