Responsibilities
- Review requirements and create, execute, and document functional and manual test cases.
- Plan and document test suites, create test data, and deliver accurate test results.
- Manage QA environments, including deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination with development and application management teams.
- Perform API sanity checks and validation using Postman or equivalent tools and work with XML, JSON, and GraphQL endpoints.
- Execute automated test suites and support security, performance, and other non-functional testing.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Business Stakeholders, and global project teams.
- Mentor and lead QA engineers across functional and non-functional testing and promote continuous improvement.
- Serve as a technical QA contact, troubleshoot platform operations, and provide occasional out-of-hours support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8 to 11 years of overall experience in functional and non-functional testing is required.
- Hands-on QA or software testing experience with scripting or coding in a programming language is required; Java or another object-oriented language is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Java.
- Experience with a defect tracking system; JIRA experience is preferred.
- Experience interacting with relational database management systems is required; SQL experience in an MS SQL Server environment is a plus.
- Experience with Linux is preferred.
- Web application testing experience and prior work in a global development organization are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, written communication, independent working, and teamwork skills are required.
