Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time systems that compute price signals, enforce budget caps, and distribute bidding instructions across a global fleet.
- Build and operate distributed services and streaming data pipelines processing tens of billions of events daily.
- Contribute to pacing algorithms, budget allocation, bid strategy enforcement, and campaign performance optimization.
- Own features across the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and operations.
- Collaborate with applied scientists and economists to bring optimization algorithms from research into production.
- Participate in on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience covering coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
