Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter authority on Verkada’s full product suite and communicate its value throughout the sales process.
- Advise customers and overcome technical objections to secure technical wins.
- Present Verkada solutions to executives, loss prevention managers, IT directors, and other customer stakeholders.
- Partner with account managers to develop territory strategy in LATAM.
- Design solutions involving network security, bandwidth requirements, physical security products, deployment planning, cloud security RFPs, and LTE deployments.
- Attend and present at strategic conferences while providing security and IoT industry thought leadership.
- Train and educate partners, customers, and internal employees on Verkada products.
- Write white papers and knowledge base articles covering Verkada products, features, and integrations.
- Travel more than 50% of the time, including domestic and international travel, for customer, partner, and business engagements.
Requirements
- At least five years of Sales Engineering experience with a proven track record supporting Fortune 500 companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information and Computer Technology, Networking, or IT Security.
- Strong networking background, including HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, firewalls, and software systems.
- Expertise or strong interest in cloud security, IoT devices, security surveillance, access control, and software/hardware products.
- Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills for explaining technical matters to customers and partners.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to an evolving workplace.
- Linux systems experience is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, or Network+ are a plus.
- Startup experience is a bonus.
- Must be independently authorized to work in Mexico; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.
