Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise-wide DevSecOps standards, patterns, and guardrails.
- Design and build secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning, and container security.
- Design and implement cloud-native security tooling and platforms.
- Lead security reviews, audits, and threat modeling for high-impact platforms and projects.
- Guide teams on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security best practices as a security subject matter expert.
- Automate compliance and governance requirements at scale.
- Lead and participate in security incidents, including root-cause analysis, remediation, postmortems, and resilience improvements.
- Mentor and coach DevOps and DevSecOps engineers across teams.
- Reduce operational toil and scale security automation.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts.
- Ensure client systems and applications meet regulatory and organizational security standards.
- Define and implement monitoring solutions and participate in incident response and remediation.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to enable secure software delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Security Engineering or DevSecOps, preferably with large-scale, customer-facing platforms.
- Experience leading DevSecOps initiatives in enterprise or high-traffic production environments.
- Strong cloud security experience, primarily with Azure, and proficiency in CI/CD tooling.
- Advanced knowledge of container security and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
- Hands-on experience with security scanning tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy, Aqua, Prisma, and Checkov.
- Experience implementing security-focused monitoring and observability solutions including New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Fluency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, Go, or Bash, for automation.
- Experience with IAM, secrets management, and zero-trust principles.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, accountability, and time-management skills are preferred.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting is a plus.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and upskill other engineers.
