Responsibilities
- Write, design, document, and implement full-stack enterprise software solutions.
- Apply software engineering expertise across the full software development lifecycle.
- Develop solutions within Agile delivery teams and contribute to sprint goals, Scrum processes, and team standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leadership on architecture, technical strategy, and delivery.
- Use modern software design patterns, cloud-native practices, automation, and code-quality principles.
- Contribute to Citi’s and GFT’s technical communities and provide technical leadership or mentoring when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of experience as a software engineer or developer using Java.
- Experience with software engineering practices including unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer review.
- Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration tools such as Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Vert.x.
- Exposure to Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript front-end technologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile and iterative software delivery, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Exposure to RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies, including Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Exposure to event-driven architecture and technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, or RabbitMQ.
- B.Tech/B.Engg degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: experience with scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency application architectures.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, OpenShift, API management, infrastructure as code, security, observability, monitoring, and job scheduling tools.
- Preferred: experience mentoring and providing technical leadership for teams of five or more developers.
